In partnership with the American Heart Association-Go Red for Women and, Bechtel Women of the Houston Area will host a charity luncheon, auction and fashion show with the purpose of raising awareness regarding heart disease and stroke, particularly in women.
The event will be held at Sweetwater Country Club Grand Ball Room, 4400 Palm Royale Blvd., Sugar Land on Friday, February 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Guest speaker isBecky Yanez, heart disease survivor and Corporate Marketing Director for the American Heart Association, will share how she found out she had heart disease at the young age of 16 during a routine physical exam for the dance team. After several surgeries, she is now off the transplant list and is happily married. Her story is both an inspiration and a powerful reminder for all girls and women.
Attendees can support the event by bidding on action items that include travel packages, golf packages, spa treatments and much more.
