A traffic violator caught a lucky break Monday about 1 o’clock when the deputies who stopped him were called away to investigate a nearby burglary in progress.
About 1:18 Monday afternoon, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary in progress call in the Kingsbridge Place subdivision. According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, a resident in the subdivision called 911 and reported seeing three men leaving a home in the 14800 block of Highland Way Lane with either a TV or computer. The men reportedly loaded the electronics into a waiting gray Toyota 4Runner before fleeing the scene.
When deputies arrived on the scene the burglars were gone and the homeowner, who was not at home, had to be notified of the burglary.
The only description on the three suspects was that they were black males in a gray Toyota 4 Runner.
Anyone who has knowledge of the suspects can call the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 281-341-4665 or the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers tips line at 281-342-TIPS (8477). All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
