Ramaj Gordon scored 27 points and Nikhil Gattu added 12 to lead Dulles past Travis last Saturday at Dulles.

Both teams came out cold in the third quarter. The Vikings could only generate 7 points in the quarter, but the Tigers could not capitalize as they could only score 8 points. The third quarter ended with Dulles leading 45-33.
With the Travis defense overplaying, the Vikings were able to get some easy baskets in the fourth quarter as Gordon had 13 points in the quarter and Kolby Green had 4. Travis’ Karey McLeish came alive in the fourth quarter as he had 10 of the Tigers’ 14 points. The Vikings won the game 67-47.
Gordon had 27, Gattu 12 and Donovan Ray had 7 for Dulles. Justin Hill led Travis with 16 points.
“I feel like we are starting to jell now. As district play progresses, we are getting better as a team, and we will be better in the second half of the district. This was a good win as Travis is a good team,” Gattu said. “It’s great to have a big man who can finish for us. Ramaj (Gordon) is always around the rim, so we try to feed him for dunks and layups.
Dulles is now 2-5 in District 20-6A action, and Travis is 4-3.
