Taylor’s health update:
Taylor’s had another roller coaster year being in the hospital in January because he had a 14% drop in lung function. In the hospital he lost 4 pounds and continued to drop 9 pounds by June. July the doctors were considering putting in a feeding tube but doubled his pancreatic enzymes and Taylor got on board with being more proactive with his health care (YEAH!). We are happy to say he has now gained 10 pounds!! Another roller coaster update is Taylor does not have psudemonas for the first time in years!! Because of psudemonas, he inhales antibiotics 2-3 times every day AND is on and off antibiotics. If he is psudemonas free for 6-9 months he can get off antibiotics. That would be great as Taylor has about gone through every oral antibiotic and would be left with only IV’s. The craziest update is while he doesn’t have psudemonas, he has a staff infection in his lungs. Shockingly the doctors are not worried about this as they have found that staff eats the psudemonas. I have not idea what God’s doing here, but as usual we take one day at a time and just let God lead the way! Taylor’s in 7th grade and doing very well in school. He hopes to play basketball and baseball this year.
Thanks for your continued prayers. The Sears Family
