Greatwood resident Vicki Latham participated in the Child’s Advocates of Fort Bend Christmas Home Tour again this year by performing as a featured harpist at the Sweetwater Country Club during the luncheon held for the benefit on Dec. l0, as well as at one of the distinctive homes on the CASA Tour in Greatwood.
“Whatever I can do with my harp to help raise money for the abused kids in Fort Bend County, I will glady do”, says Vicki. Ms. Latham has also also performed as a harpist for St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land during the Christmas masses for the past several years.
After visiting Ireland and seeing harpist performing there, she always dreamed to learn to play and now that she has, she loves sharing the relaxing, beautiful harp music with others.
Vicki is also the founder and organizer of the Ladybugs, a social/civic organization in Fort Bend since 2007 which spreads cheer to the sick, elderly and mentally challenged in our area, and founder of the International Social Group for Adults (ISGA), a social group for Americans as well as abroad since 2001.
Ms. Latham continues to volunteer her time for various causes throughout the year in and around the Greatwood community and throughout Fort Bend County and invites others to do the same.
Those interested in joining the Ladybugs for volunteer opportunities or the ISGA organization to make new friends should contact Vicki Latham at vmlatham@yahoo.com or 281-384-4006.
