Parents for Academic Excellence (PACE) in conjunction with Fort Bend ISD’s Gifted and Talented (GT) Department will host a presentation titled, “Nature and Needs of a GT Student and How Parents Can Work with Them,” on Thursday, April 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Main Auditorium of the Fort Bend ISD Administrative Annex, located at 3119 Sweetwater Blvd. in Sugar Land.
The event will begin with a social hour beginning at 6:00 p.m., during which participants will receive an overview of PACE and light snacks. Dr. Lynette Breedlove, former FBISD GT Coordinator, will lead the presentation, beginning at 7:00 p.m., and help parents explore the traits of giftedness, the gifted child’s unique social and emotional needs and what is considered normal in a gifted child’s life. Dr. Breedlove’s presentation will be followed by a short Q & A session.
