The Fort Bend Independent School District, Fort Bend Medical Society Alliance and The Texas Medical Association will be holding a free raffle starting at 11:30 AM at the WATCH Health Fair this Saturday, March 3, at Sugar Land Town Square.
The free raffle will be giving out helmets for elementary school age children in sizes medium and small. Sign up for this free raffle will be held at the WATCH booth.
The Texas Medical Association’s Hard Hats for Little Head program was created in 1994 to help reduce head injury among Texas children.
Head injury, the most common cause of serious disability or death in bicycle crashes, can be reduced by as much as 85 percent with proper use of a helmet.
TMA’s Hard Hats for Little Heads encourages children and adults to wear a properly fitting helmet in all wheeled sports: bicycling, skateboarding, inline skating, and when riding a scooter.
