Golf tournament successful
Fluor employees with the Fluor Cares project headed up the Golf for Greater Houston Tournament and raised $200,000 for four local beneficiaries including Hope for Three, a Fort Bend-based nonprofit whose mission is to expand autism awareness, empower and educate families, improve early diagnosis and connect families to the care and support they deserve. Autism is now estimated to affect 1 in 88 children, according to the US Centers for Disease Control.
“To our beneficiaries we would like to say thank you for the work you do in our communities. Each one of you provides a vital service to the Greater Houston community and you make us proud to call Houston our home,” said Fluor’s John Schanck, Chair of GFGH 2012. “We hope the partnerships that we have built this year will continue to grow and together we will continue to make a difference in the Greater Houston area.”
