The Houston Film Critics Society and Odysee Pictures have teamed together to bring the Texas premiere of THE VICTIM to Houston on Wednesday, August 17 at the River Oaks Theatre. The screening will begin at 7:30 pm with both Michael Biehn and Jennifer Blanc Biehn in attendance with a Q&A afterwards.
The Victim is directed and stars Michael Biehn (Tombstone). Biehn also wrote the picture and his wife, Jennifer Blanc, stars in the film as well. As part of the Houston Film Critics Society’s mission, the group has worked hard to provide opportunities for the Houston community to see quality Hollywood projects up close and in an educational setting, HFCS president Nick Nicholson remarked.
“We are pleased to team up with the Odyssee Pictures group to bring The Victim to Houston along with Michael and Jennifer,” Nicholson said. “We believe this will be an outstanding learning opportunity for the young filmmakers in our community to commiserate with someone as talented as Michael and Jennifer Biehn.”
Tickets for the event are available online and at the door, although they are less expensive if you puchase here in advance:
Biehn is best known for his performance as the outlaw cowboy Johnny Ringo in Tombstone (1993). The winner of numerous acting awards, Biehn most recently was the recipient of the Saturn Award for a Life Career Award that spans the galaxy.
His other best known (and best loved) roles include Cpl. Dwayne Hicks in Aliens (1986), a megalomaniac in The Abyss (1989) and as a sheriff in the grindhouse film Planet Terror (2007).
