Last week, a guy was weaving along a Rosenberg road, then he rolled a couple of stop signs, then he flat blew a third one and the cop behind him pulled him over.
Imagine the officer’s surprise when the driver, a law enforcement official, got out and told him: I’m in a hurry. I’m late for a meeting. Just give me your phone number and I’ll call you later. Then got back into his county car and left the officer standing there, hold’n down the pavement.
Guess it pays to be a chief deputy running for sheriff in 2012.
No citation was issued, no one went to jail, however, later, the officer who got left hold’n down the pavement, he got an apology. So did his boss.
Hope everyone gets the same benefit from that candidate’s deputies. No time… no stay…. no consequence.
Hurry, smurry… anyone else would have gone to jail.
