IES Residential, Inc. celebrated the grand opening of their new Education Center on January 25, 2017 in Stafford, TX. The Education Center will train the next generation of electricians and prepare them with the necessary skills, knowledge and hands-on experience required for a long-term career as an electrician.
The facility will hold between 20-30 students and cover topics such as electrical theory, safety, blueprint reading, and familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC). “IES Residential has designed the curriculum to better serve our customers through teaching and advancing our employees from basics to management. We are strong on quality electrical installation and above all safety,” said George Tidden, Education Instructor.
“My team and I decided that training was an area that we could improve in and that by having our own education center we could further separate ourselves from our competition, “said Brian Hartley, McKinney Division Manager.
The IES Residential Education Center will provide an accessible teaching and learning environment combined with opportunities for students to attain applied training to prepare them for their future.
“Our mission, through our education and proper training, is to change the electrical industry one student at a time,” said Vice President Jim Johnson.
