Gearing up the preparation for the highly successful International Festival of Fort Bend, IFFB is set to host a kick-off party for the 2011 Festival at the Sugar Creek Baptist Church, Wednesday, April 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. IFFB is glad to invite all those who wish to join the 2011 Festival to share their artistic talents or showcase their businesses or participate as volunteers to accumulate community service hours. All the ethnic organizations are welcome to participate in the Festival to showcase the rich multicultural heritage of Fort Bend County.
As a tradition, the International Festival of Fort Bend will be a free-admission, family event held at Stafford Centre on Saturday October 15. The Festival will be sponsored by the City of Stafford, Sugar Creek Baptist Church and several such other entities. The International Festival of Fort bend has proven to be a jubilant multi-cultural celebration that has featured hundreds of young participants.
The Festival has been drawing thousands of attendees every year. With highly captivating performances from over 30 cultures , ethnic foods, creative crafts, exhibitions, children’s activities and fun, the attendees get an opportunity to experience and enjoy the diversity under one roof. The International Festival of Fort Bend has symbolized the connectedness of people of all ages, cultures, backgrounds, race, religion and creeds as it celebrates and honors the diversity that exists in Fort bend County.
