James Macaluso received his Eagle recognition at a Boy Scout Court of Honor held in 2010. The ceremony was held at his residence in Sugar Land, Texas.
For his Eagle Project, Macaluso planned and provided leadership to a group of Spanish speaking Scouts and adults in Madrid, Spain. He also raised funds to plan, organize and build shelves for a new storage room for Mountain View International Church in Madrid. Macaluso joined Troop 38 at the end of 5th grade after five active years in Cub Scouting, and in 3 years held positions as Assistant Patrol leader, Patrol leader, and troop guide. He has completed Junior Leadership Training, First Aid and CPR. He also enjoyed many scouting adventures such as zip lining and kayaking in Alaska last summer. Macaluso, the son of Cheryl and Jimmy Macaluso, is a 10th grader at Austin High School, where he is in all Honors classes and is now member of the debate team.
