Jerry R. Storseth went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2013.
Jerry Richard Storseth was born on March 9, 1939 to Jesse and Ray Storseth in Amarillo, Texas, the last of 8 children (7 boys, 1 girl).
At Texas Tech, met Kay Fenelon at Tech, and they married on August 31, 1963 in Baytown, TX.
Jerry worked for McCann Erickson Advertising Agency, various television stations in Houston and Atlanta, and handled commercial real estate in Houston for 20 years prior to owning Your Broker Real Estate Company for 30 years.
Moved to Missouri City in 1974 and was a member of First United Methodist Church for 39 years, serving as a Sunday School teacher, on the Administrative Board, U M Men, Usher, Greeter and various other committees. He served on the Board for Missouri City’s Thunderbird Utility District for 37 years and as President 14 of those years.
Jerry loved to hunt, fish, and play golf. Jerry was always jovial and loved his friends and had a good sense of humor. And he was always known for his honesty in business and life.
Jerry was devoted to his family and never missed his children’s events and even coached Pete’s Missouri City Vikings football team. Jerry loved his children, grandchildren, all of his family and especially his God.
He is survived by his Wife Kay, Daughter Melanie Woody, husband Norm, and Grandchildren Jace, Julianne, Sarah, Sasha, and Jack of Houston, Son Pete Storseth of Baton Rouge, LA, Brothers Eddie and wife Sunny Storseth, Bill and wife Jean Storseth, Don and wife Laura Storseth, and many, many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Missouri City, located at 3900 Lexington Blvd, Missouri City, TX 77459. Please join the family for a reception in the Fellowship Hall after the service. Go to www.fumcmc.org for more information.
