The Ladybugs made sure the elderly patrons at the 5th Street Community Center in Stafford, Texas had a wonderful Mother’s Day. They delivered flowers to all the ladies including all types of sweets, toiletries, beaded necklaces and magazines to all at the facility and also sang songs for them.
The elderly come to the 5th Street Community Center for lunch, entertainment and commaraderie on weekdays, so the visit from the Ladybugs was a special treat. A fun social/civic group since 2007, the Ladybugs are Sugar Land based and love to voluntarily visit various facilities throughout the Fort Bend area for the mentally challenged, elderly and sick to brighten their day.
They have visited numerous facilities throughout the years and have brought much joy to all of the patrons. Founded by Sugar Land resident, Vicki Latham, they love to flutter to local area facilities at various times of the year spreading cheer and they also hold or attend social events as well.
Always thinking of others, the group varies their schedules for charity and social events during the week and on weekends so that those who work or cannot participate depending on their schedules.
If interested in becoming a member of this unique and cheerful group, contact the founder/coordinator, Vicki Latham at firstname.lastname@example.org.
