Missouri City Branch Library will host special guests — of the wildlife variety — from Brazos Bend State Park on Saturday, July 27, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 1530 Texas Parkway.
A baby American alligator and a milk snake will accompany Judy Strauss, Events Coordinator of the Brazos Bend State Park Volunteer Organization, to the library for the afternoon. Learn about some of the wildlife that visitors may see at the nearby state park when they go there. Strauss will also bring the skulls of an American alligator and a crocodile so that visitors can see the differences between the two. Hear an overview of the park, its facilities, and the activities that are available there for the public, such as camping, fishing, and hiking and cycling on the park’s many trails.
The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-238-2100 or the library’s Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
