Learn all about Fort Bend County Libraries’ materials and services for students at a special program, “Back-to-School Tools at the Library,” on Monday, October 14, beginning at 6:30 pm, in the Meeting Room at the Sugar Land Branch Library, located at 550 Eldridge.
A Fort Bend County Libraries card makes many resources available to students in the library and on the library’s website. Library staff will provide an overview of the online databases – many of which can be accessed from a home computer — that are available for students.
These databases contain helpful, reliable information on a variety of subjects, including literature, science, writing, and math. Those attending the class will learn about the library’s online Homework Help service (Brainfuse), and receive a demonstration on how to use it.
The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are recommended. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Sugar Land Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2140, or by visiting the library.
