MARCH 6, 1980 – JUNE 23, 2016
Leslie Moniqué Flores, 36, of Sugar Land, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 23, 2016.
Mass was held Tuesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Amarillo with Farther Gabriel Garcia celebrating.
Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Moniqué was born on March 6, 1980 in Dumas, Texas to Margaret and Juan Flores. She had been an administrator at Baylor College of Medicine for twelve years.
She was a volunteer at the American Cancer Society and several other cancer foundations. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sugar Land.
From the Flores family…Our light became dim as our sweet Moniqué spread her wings and went to Heaven.
Now she is our angel up above looking after her family and friends. She whole-heartedly loved life, loved love and loved the people that crossed her path.
Thank you all! As our Moniqué would say “Sparkle and Shine on” and “It’s not because of who I am, but Whose I am.”
She is survived by her parents of Sugar Land; sister, Monika Flores and fiance, Richard Rodriguez of Sugar Land; her grandmother, Isabelle Amador of Sunray; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, a God sister and a God brother.
