We truly appreciated the Opinion on Feb. 17, spotlighting The First Tee of Greater Houston at Quail Valley and the many benefits for area students and volunteers who participate in the program.
As you pointed out, The First Tee provides kids with invaluable tools to succeed in life, their communities and in business … as well as teaching them a fun game they can play for a lifetime.
Quail Valley Golf Course and the Ladies’ Golf Association (LGA) have hosted six successful ladies’ tournaments on behalf of this outstanding program. Last year the event raised $23,000! This year we’re taking it to another level, with the support of the Men’s Golf Association and the addition of an Open flight for men to participate.
We encourage your readers to mark this date on their calendars – Saturday, Sept. 17 – for the 2016 Texas Tee Charity Tournament – benefitting The First Tee of Greater Houston at Quail Valley. Anyone in Fort Bend and the Greater Houston Area can help us build another successful event – as players, sponsors, or volunteers.
The tournament will be held on the beautiful El Dorado course. Entry fee includes golf, lunch, dinner, live entertainment, a raffle and live auction. The format is a four-person scramble, with an open flight and a women’s flight.
Thanks for your help in building awareness for The First Tee of Greater Houston at Quail Valley. Let’s join together as a community to put our talent, creativity and dollars to work for these Fort Bend County kids. The tournament is Sept. 17 but we are ready today for businesses and individuals to get on board as sponsors or volunteers. For more information email email@example.com.
