On the morning of June 27, 2012, deputy sheriff’s responded to a burglary call at a home in Greatwood. According to the Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, the burglary was discovered by the homeowner’s pet-sitter. He said the crooks gained entry to the home by forcing open the back door of the residence.
During the investigation Lenin Garcia, 18, and Bradley Ibe, 20, both residents of Canyon Gate at the Brazos, a neighborhood near Greatwood, were developed as suspects. “Garcia and Ibe are accused of stealing a computer, jewelry and other valuables. Many of the items stolen were recovered and will be returned to the victims,” said Haenel.
Both men were arrested on warrants signed by County Court at Law II Judge Jeff McMeans. Both had a bond of $25,000.
