The Fort Bend County Museum Association is proud to recognize Anita and David Harris as honorary chairmen for Lone Star Stomp XXIV.
The Harrises, who have lived in Fort Bend County for 31 years, have been invaluable supporters of the Museum and its historical and educational programs.
“David and I both love history, which is what drew us to the Fort Bend Museum when we first moved to the area,” Anita said.
Anita has volunteered full-time for the Museum Association since 1999 and served as president of the Docent organization in 2005 and 2006. She is currently serving on the Board of Trustees.
The Harrises are also involved with other organizations throughout the Fort Bend and Houston area, including the Boy Scouts of America, where David serves on the board of the directors for the Sam Houston Area Council.
Candy Jones, Executive Director of Fort Bend County Museum Association said, “Anita and David Harris are an incredibly classy and gracious couple that have quietly supported the Museum Association for many years. They truly epitomize the warmth and generosity of the Lone Star State.”
