A 32-year-old man was killed in an industrial accident in the Firethorne subdivision just south of Katy last week.
The yet to be identified victim, was part of a construction crew working on a road in the Firethorne neighborhood last Tuesday morning about 11 a.m. when a concrete truck got stuck on a hill.
The crew got busy trying to dislodge one truck and got a second one stuck. As they worked to free both trucks, what was described as a ‘huge strap’ which was attached to the both trucks broke loose. That strap flew past one truck and hit the victim who was standing behind the furthermost truck.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital – Katy where he was pronounced dead.
