Last Friday afternoon, after the execution of a warrant, a Meadow Place man was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography.
According to law enforcement officials and charge related documents, William B. Myers was arrested after a federal warrant was executed at his family home in the 11900 block of Meadow Crest Drive in Meadows Place, Texas.
That warrant was executed by agents of a multi-agency Task Force that included officers from the Houston police department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, FBI, Stafford police as well as a Meadows Place officer who assisted in the warrant service.
While in police custody, Myers reportedly confessed to some of the offenses for which he has been charged. At the time of his arrest Myers‘ wife was at home. According to Meadows police Chief Gary Stewart the case and its specifics are being handled by the Task Force.
Police are still correlating evidence; more charges are likely. According to an officer close to the case, some of those future charges are not related to this specific incident.
At press time William B. Myers remains in the Fort Bend County Jail under two different bonds of $100,000 each as well as a federal hold. More details are expected to unfold in the days and weeks to come. Myers has not yet been indicted.
According to records from the last election cycle in Meadows Place in May 2013, William B. Myers Jr., 41, was a candidate for mayor.
He was identified as an 11 year resident of Meadows Place who is a car mechanic.
