Missouri City Police were working on a missing persons ‘cold case’ when they happen upon a 9 year old homicide.
In November of 2002, Christopher Allen Daigle, of Missouri City went missing. At the time of his disappearance he was presumed to have been a runaway.
Recently, Missouri City detectives reopened the old case on Daigle and began to ferret through the information with a fresh perspective. Almost right away, the detective working the case hit pay dirt when he interviewed one of the last people listed as having seen Daigle before his disappearance.
According to reports, Daigle, then 17, and some friends traveled to far southeast Fort Bend County, near Brazoria County to party. During that outing Daigle was killed. No further details have been released.
However, with the information obtained by Missouri City Police, the crime scene where Daigle was purported to have been murdered was located and some human bones were recovered. Once the crime scene was established, Missouri City personnel along with Sheriff’s personnel searched that area for evidence. The murder is believed to have occurred in the county‘s jurisdiction; the missing persons case was filed in Missouri City.
