Mission group visits Sugar Land
A group of Kunama speaking Eritreans who make up a LINC Houston Mission congregation currently meeting at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church in Sugar Land are some of the nicest people in the world! Why? Because they are so thankful to Jesus for all He has done, and it shows in their actions.
They are students of the Bible…day and night! LINC Missions Coordinator Dorinda Werner (center front) said: “it was a beautiful experience to be in their midst as they celebrated our loving, living, forgiving God!”. They so enjoyed hosting a national conference where they reconnected with friends who they knew in Eritrea and Ethiopia and who are now spread out all over the U.S.
LINC Houston is a network of local churches that have joined together in a common mission to impact the city of Houston and surrounding suburbs with the love of Christ. LINC Houston is led by a Board of Directors which provides governance and guidance for the ministry.
Rev. Mark Junkans has served as LINC’s Executive Director since beginning in 2002, and Rev. Dr. David Kim has served as LINC’s Mission Director since 2007. LINC-Houston is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization, a mission agency of the Texas District – LCMS and a Recognized Service Organization of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
The Kunama congregants are grateful for the opportunity to host the 2015 national conference over the New Year week-end and welcome you to worship with them any Sunday at 2pm at 2011 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land, TX .
