Whether you discovered a love of reading at age 16 or 60, and whether you enjoy a good love story or a gritty crime novel, Fort Bend County Libraries invites you to share that love of reading with other book lovers at one of Missouri City Branch Library’s book clubs. Two book clubs meet monthly at the library, located at 1530 Texas Parkway, and new members are always welcome.
Love a good love story or a chilling thriller? Members of the Talk Back Book Club meet to discuss general fiction on the third Tuesday of the month, beginning at 7:00 pm, in the Conference Room. The August 16 book club discussion will be on Audrey Niffenegger’s debut novel, The Time Traveler’s Wife.
If mysteries and crime novels intrigue you, come to the Murder & Mayhem Book Club, which meets on the third Saturday of the month. The August 20 book club discussion, which will begin at 11:00 am in the Conference Room, will be on Midnight Rambler, a novel of suspense written by James Swain.
The book clubs are free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-238-2100 or the libraries’ Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
