The Houston-Galveston Area Council recently announced that Missouri City Councilman Floyd Emery has been elected Board Chair Elect for 2017.

He has served as the Missouri City representative on the H-GAC Board of Directors since 2013. Also elected as 2017 H-GAC officers are Brazoria County Commissioner Stacy Adams as Vice Chair and Chambers County Commissioner Gary Nelson as Chair.

The 2017 officers were installed at the H-GAC General Assembly Annual Meeting on March 3. Chief W. Nim Kidd of the Texas Division of Emergency Management was the principal speaker at this annual gathering of local elected officials, administrators, civic and service leaders, and business and industry representatives.
