This week, photographer Jo Cohn announces the nationwide releases of her new photography/art collection book, “Color of Creation.”
People’s ability to see in color is one of the greatest gifts given God has given. In “Color of Creation,” author and photographer Cohn explores through her photos the resplendent beauty of natural color. Color would not exist without light, and she has focused on illustrating refraction and separation of light rays using glass and water as her mediums.
The results are bold, colorful and interesting, as is the image, which captures the separation of white light into the five principle colors. She takes readers on a journey of discovery in capturing the vibrant colors of trees, wildflowers, algae, butterflies, mineral crystals and awesome seascapes, landscapes and flowers. Tranquil reflection images and quotes of motivation and guidance allow readers to pause to contemplate the gift of color.
The book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Cohn was born in the United Kingdom, grew up in South Africa and immigrated to the United States in 1999. She left the corporate world a few years back and started exploring the fascinating world of photography. She is the co-author and author of “Through Our Lenses” and “Illuminating Texas respectively,” two self-published photography books.
