This year, PSRW is now through May 12 and Missouri City is hosting several salutes to honor its public service employees and their pride, professionalism and commitment to service. A few highlights on the 2012 agenda are:
• Annual Service Recognition Luncheon on Wednesday, May 9
• Ice-Cream “Social Hour” on Thursday, May 10
• Employee Picnic and Barbecue “Cook-Off”, Friday, May 11
Nationwide, the week provides government agencies an opportunity to reach out to the general public and showcase the tireless efforts of public employees. In the “Show Me City”, City Council and senior management want staff to know they value their dedication to duty and diligence in public safety, road maintenance and revitalization, parks’ preservation, citizens’ communications, planning and development, economic development, fiscal management, solid waste management, floodplain administration, storm water oversight, information technology and human resources and organizational development.
