Last Friday morning residents of the Misty Lakes neighborhood awoke to discover the Sugar Land/East Fort Bend County SWAT Team executing a search warrant at a home located at 1204 block of Harbortown just off Misty Lakes Drive.
Although residents were surprised to see all the activity, one said she was not at all surprised that police had finally raided the place. The place this neighbor was referring to was a home on Harbortown in the middle of the generally quiet Misty Lakes neighborhood in the Sugar Mill subdivision located in north Sugar Land.
According to neighbors, they have watched for quite some time as teenagers and young adults drive up to the Harbortown home, run to the door or chat at the street, then they drive away. “It always appeared to be a friendly place, but you knew there was something going on,” said one neighbor. She went on to say it was just sad, the parents moved away a few years ago leaving the boys there by themselves, then all this began to happen. The raid carried out by SWAT units Friday morning netted police 5 arrests, stolen property, guns, drugs, and counterfeit cash all seized from this quiet suburban residence.
According to Fort Bend records, the home at 1204 Harbortown is owned by Olanrewaju B and Dorcas Adeleye. According to those same records they purchased the home in 1990.
The five men arrested were identified as Olaonipekun Adeleye, 19; Olatunbosun Adeleye, 21; Wole Ogedengbe, 19; Akpofure Gbenedio, 17; Denzel Adonye, 20.
Charges are pending against all five.
