Fort Bend ISD held its annual “Opportunity Knocks” Vendor Expo, which welcomed more than 175 participants representing area businesses. The annual event is held to give business representatives the opportunity to learn about the District’s procurement process and meet with potential clients.
Mike Hinkle of Techno Chaos, which offers curriculum in robotics education, was among the many business representatives to take part in the Vendor Expo. “We’re expanding our services and are approaching area school districts in hopes of becoming potential clients,” said Hinkle. “This Vendor Expo provided a great opportunity for me to meet with various FBISD representatives to share with them what our business has to offer.”
Participants met with the FBISD Procurement staff and received information on various services and commodities that the District currently uses. Representatives of other FBISD departments (including Transportation, Technology, Community Relations, Design & Construction, Facilities & School Services, Child Nutrition, Curriculum and Athletics) were also available to provide detailed information on the items and services procured by their specific department
