National Day of Prayer held at 11 locations

May 9, 2012 by FortBendStar

Missouri City was one of the 11 places that the National Day of Prayer was held.

National Day of Prayer is always the first Thursday in May. This year Fort Bend had 11 events as various locations.

A  purpose was set years ago that there would be no preaching or loud performance, but only prayer for 45 minutes with nine topics at 5 minutes each leaving only 15 min for flag presentations, pledge, and patriotic songs.

To the seven topics of family, government, church, school, business, military, and media they add national repentance and prayer to bless Israel. This leaves people with a peace that they have participated in a significant spiritual event.
