Russell Okung, NFL offensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks and former Fort Bend ISD student, made a $1,000 donation to Hodges Bend Middle School (HBMS) through the Russell Okung UP Foundation.
The UP Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving back to the community by reaching out to children and offering them hope through activities and information on the importance of education and social responsibility. The donation will be applied toward the purchase of a new football scoreboard at HBMS.
“We are very grateful to Russell for the generous donation he made to our football program,” said Jonathan Elitzky, HBMS Football Coach. “He continues to have the same kind heart that he had as a student at Hodges Bend. We are proud to see him giving back to the community that supported him.”
