A Celebration of Life Service for Rita Catherine Turley, 60, of Richmond, Texas will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.

Rita was born November 24, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to Lucas Lanza and Catherine Ferlinga Lanza. She taught school for 31 years serving the Lamar Consolidated School District for 25 of those years. She was a child advocate who cared for, loved and supported her students. She enjoyed playing bridge and other card games and taking care of her dogs. She passed away January 18, 2006 in Houston, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Turley; her parents Lucas and Catherine Lanza; along with her cousins, her aunt and uncle and numerous close friends.
