Funeral services for Arvella Van Meter, 82, of Sugar Land, Texas, will be held at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Reverend Charles Murphy will officiate the services along with soloist, Walter Crane. Pallbearers will be Ryan Cummins, Todd Cummins, Ronald Brooks, Charles Lindsey, Art Grahmann, and Don Cook.

Visitation was held from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Arvella was born August 29, 1925 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Johnny Lee Inskeep and Audry (Crumpton) Inskeep. Arvella passed away February 23, 2008 at Park Plaza Specialty Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was a dental hygenist, housewife and member of Heritage Baptist Church in Missouri City.

Arvella is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Audry Inskeep and sister, Mildred.

Arvella is survived by her husband, Bobby Van Meter of Sugar Land; children, Carolyn Moody and husband James of Jacksonville, Barbara Bedingfield and husband Charles of Jacksonville, Sarita Cummings of Sugarland, Cynthia Mustipick of Palm Beach, Florida; sisters, Juanita Bell, Lavena Cordel, Glendola Wells and husband Francis, Peggy Weaver and husband Ron; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; along with other loving family and friends.
