MILTON J. LEGENDRE

Funeral Mass for Milton J. Legendre, Sr., 82, of Needville was held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 25, 2009 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Needville with interment following at St. Michael’s Arch Angel Cemetery (Foster School Road @ Williams School Road) in Needville. Father Joseph Phan officiated the services.

Visitation was held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M., on Friday, April 24, 2009 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Milton was born January 23, 1927 in New Orleans, Louisiana to John J. and Pauline (St. Germain) Legendre. He honorably served in the U. S. Navy. Milton was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharist Minister, taught C.C.E. and did marriage counseling. Milton was also a member of the Lions’ Club, a Lifetime member of the V.F.W. and a two time president of CPS. He passed away April 21, 2009 in Wharton.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Harriett (Lester) Legendre; his parents, John and Pauline Legendre; and brothers, Willie, Paul and Erwin Legendre.

Milton is survived by: Son:Milton Legendre, Jr; Sisters: Shirley Foecke and husband, Ralph, Mabel Hoover; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
