Funeral
services for Milton Jones, 68, of Sugar Land, Texas were
held at 2:00 P. M., Friday, July 8, 2005 at Davis-Greenlawn
Funeral Chapel, in Rosenberg, Texas. Interment followed in
Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, Texas.
Visitation was held from 7:00 P. M. until
9:00 P. M., Thursday, July 7, 2005 at Davis-Greenlawn
Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
Milton was born September 13, 1936 in
Midland, Texas to Edwin Milton Jones, Sr. and Rosa Mae Brown
Jones. He went to be with his Lord on July 6, 2005 in
Rosenberg, Texas.
Milton spent his early years working in
the oil fields of West Texas. After attending college at the
University of Colorado and finishing at Texas A & M,
Kingsville, Texas, in Business Administration, he began his
career selling oilfield chemicals for Dixie Chemical Company
in Corpus Christi, Texas.
In 1971, Milton moved to Houston and
started Southwest Petrochem, Inc. with himself and one
secretary. Over the next fourteen years the company was
built into a fully integrated oil and gas company.
Milton is preceded in death by his
parents, Edwin and Rosa Mae Jones; and brothers, Richard Lee
Jones and Bart Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years,
Shelia Jones; Son: John Jones and wife, Shirley; Daughters:
Shawne Bonnette and husband, Randy, Brittney Selldin and
husband, Mark; sister: Marilyn Jones; grandchildren: Jared
Rauso, Meagan Bonnette, Jackson Bonnette, Jessica Jones,
Katie Jones, Brooke Selldin.
