In a press release, Howard Paul concedes the Sugar Land run-off election for City Council precinct 3 to Amy Mitchell, and thanks his many supporters for all their efforts. Howard promises that he will continue to fight for the public’s interests both as a private citizen and in his future bids at public office. “This election should be a lesson to all of us, that indeed, every single vote counts,” he said.
As a first time, grass roots candidate, Howard Paul ended his campaign for City Council, breathtakingly only one vote short of a tie. “Sugar Land is a beautiful city, but we also face some real challenges. We cannot afford to live and act like it is 2005, especially in our dynamically changing economic climate. Homeowners and citizens want to be accurately informed and served with integrity. To this end, I hope that my neighbors will join me in holding our HOAs and Sugar Land’s City Council accountable to the people of Sugar Land,” encouraged Howard Paul.
