On Sunday, October 13 from 1 to 4 p.m., First Colony Mall hosts the pet adoption unit of the Houston Humane Society. Volunteers from the organization will be at the shopping center, near Apple and Pottery Barn, with a variety of homeless dogs that are available for adoption by qualified individuals.
One of the dogs that will be at the adoption is Dolly, an 11-month old Terrier mix. According to Joan Spencer, mobile adoptions coordinator for the Houston Humane Society, Miss Dolly is playful and ready for a forever home. Further, she is very trainable and loves treats.
All dogs from the Humane Society, including Dolly, are neutered or spayed, current on all vaccinations, including Rabies, and are micro chipped. Each dog will have a rabies tag and certificate. Each new owner must meet the requirements of the organization.
Adoption fees are $125 per dog for dogs 25 pounds or under or six months of age or younger; and $95 per dog for those 26 pounds or more and older than six months.
