He served in the patrol division for the majority of that time with a period of 4 years as a motorcycle officer in the traffic division. “John brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the office and I’m honored that he is a member of our team at Precinct 4”, said Constable Nehls.
Lieutenant Ruben Valencia retired from the Houston Police Department with 27 years of service. He worked 16 years in patrol and spent his last 11 years as a Detective in the Robbery Division. Lt. Valencia comes to Precinct 4 having spent the last 10 years at Lamar ISD as a School Resource Officer.
Constable Nehls said, “I am extremely pleased to have John and Ruben as members of the command team. Their extensive experience and leadership will further build upon an already professional organization.”
