The second home invasion robbery in as many weeks in a Fresno subdivision east Fort Bend County has neighbors on edge. Fort Bend Crimes Stoppers, Inc. is willing to pay a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the three suspects involved in any of the cases.
Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel said this home invasion style robbery occurred Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 20. He explained that deputies responded to the call at 3:10 p.m., in the 1900 block of Thistlecreek Court in the Teal Run subdivision. The victim told deputies that he answered the front door to a man posing as a neighbor who had received mail belonging to the victim. “Once the victim opened the door, the first suspect rushed the resident and was soon joined by two other suspects. They tied up the resident,” said Haenel.
Haenel said the victim described the suspect, who was at the front door, as a male between 5’10”to 6’, about 220 pounds. He was believed to be between 22 to 24 years of age. The second suspect was wearing a red shirt and is about 6’1” with a slender build; ranging between 18 to 20 years old. The third suspect was reportedly 18 to 20 years old with a thin build.
The trio are believed to have used a gray sedan and also took the victim’s 2002 Pontiac Grand Am and a television set.
