Red Ribbon Week is held in October
Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Inc. will be performing puppet shows for October drug-free Red Ribbon Week
Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Inc. for over 10 years has performed puppet shows to elementary students throughout Fort Bend County. The performances begin October 17 and run through October 28. The “Don’t Say YES When You Really Mean NO!” puppet shows, performed by FBRC staff, teaches the dangers of smoking, why you should say NO, and how you can say NO, through sing-a-longs. The show also covers bullying, peer pressure and refusal skills.
Fort Bend Regional Council has served Fort Bend County for 35 years striving for the goal that young people grow up drug free. Through our mission of providing families and individuals substance abuse prevention, education and treatment services they need for positive change for themselves and the community, FBRC’s youth counselors are on 35 school campuses where they teach students the skills to stand against the immeasurable pressure to try drugs.
