Puppet show encourages students to make healthy decisions

October 26, 2011 by FortBendStar

Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Inc. for over 10 years has performed puppet shows to elementary students throughout Fort Bend County.

The performances began October 17 and ran through October 28.

The “Don’t Say YES When You Really Mean NO!” puppet shows, performed by FBRC staff, taught the dangers of smoking, why you should say NO, and how you can say NO, through sing-a-longs. The show also covered bullying, peer pressure and refusal skills.

For more information on FBRC, contact Irene Wisner at 281-207-2409, iwisner@fortbendcouncil.org or visit our website at www.fortbendcouncil.org.
