Quail Valley GT Academy teacher named TAGT 2011 State Teacher of the Gifted

David Sebek, an English Language Arts teacher at the Quail Valley Gifted and Talented Academy, was named the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) 2011 State Teacher of the Gifted.

The award honors educators for their outstanding service, contributions and commitment to gifted education. An educator of 16 years, Sebek serves as a coach for Destination Imagination and Future Problem Solvers student teams, and presents teacher professional development training on creativity.

He will be honored at an awards presentation during the TAGT’s 2011 Annual Conference in Austin.
