Quail Valley Yard of the Month for September are Lynette & Lloyd Randall of 2618 La Quinta. A garden that is consistently neat and colorful, the Randall’s have used symmetrical planting beds, but mixed traditional boxwoods and dwarf yaupon hollies with surprises from the tropics such as cordyline and variegated outdoor dwarf schefflera, that add foliage color as well as texture. Cora variety vinca, pentas, lantana, society garlic and Crepe Myrtle add dependable summer color.
A welcomed surprise is using two different tree varieties to contrast the beautiful side beds. Brick planters and a herringbone brick entry finish the manicured look.
The Randall family, received a plant from Flowers by Adela and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Quail Valley Garden Club. Drive by 2618 La Quinta for great ideas.
