Dear Editor,
I have heard reports for a number of weeks regarding Ms. Ahmed’s requested legal representation by Aafia Siddiqui. Siddiqui was found guilty of attacking US Military & FBI agents in Afganistan and is known in some circles as Lady Al Qaeda. These reports are now very public and if true, begs the question of why was Ms Ahmed asked for? What ties does she have with Siddiqui?
I also am quite curious about Ms. Ahmed’s campaign finances. She ran many advertisements on Fox News in prime time slots for at least a month leading up to the 5/14 election. To my knowledge, no other city council candidate did so. The numerous, almost daily ads had to be very expensive. So, where did the money come from? The 4/12 campaign finance report has no reference to these ad expenses and shows about $14,000 of contributions at that point. Frankly, a pretty small number when you consider the ads she ran. My question is who is footing the bill?
Something does not add up. That many expensive TV ads for a city council position? Inquiring minds want to know about her campaign finances and who is funding her. There are some curious things going on. Something smells fishy and I would hope The “Star” has interest in researching the matter. It’s important to our community to protect the integrity of the electoral process.
I would appreciate your efforts to investigate the Ahmed background and campaign finance subject. Thank you for your time.
