WHY MEDIANS ON HIGHWAY 6? “…On Highway 6, it is much safer in Sugar Land than Missouri City because of the medians. In MC people come head to head in the median, neither one having a clue where the other is trying to go. Entrances for “right turns ONLY” (i.e. near Taco Cabana) are ignored by people turning left into those places.” (Response by a Missouri City Resident)
WHY SPEND MONEY ON MEDIANS WHEN MONEY IS NEEDED IN OTHER AREAS? Highway 6 congestion increasing! Research shows these type projects reduce crashes and improve operations by helping drivers experience fewer “conflict points”. Also gives opportunities for local communities to beautify the medians. FIND OTHER WAYS TO GO. Extra time for U-Turns should be minimal versus time lost when dealing with continuous left turns and accidents. Take advantage of developments along Highway 6 that allow cross access through their properties and onto nearby cross streets. (Like Target @ FM 1092). (courtesy of Jim Hunt, TXDOT.)
GIVE YOUR OPINION. MC CITY COUNCIL is discussing limiting the number of garage sales a resident can have each year. It appears people are running a business. Could be that if you hold more than 2 per year, you could be required to remit sales tax to the State.

LOST KITTEN FOUND! Bucky (6 months old) has only 3 legs and went missing for 36 hours. The owners exhausted all avenues. Fearing the worse, they looked closer to home and found Bucky on their roof! Bucky isn’t “talking” about his “adventure” but the owners think maybe he climbed one of the tall trees next to their house and got too high. So he decided perhaps going the “roof route” would be easier. For sure, it gave him better visibility to be found!
