WE NEED A “DRIVE THROUGH” POSTAL “DROP” BOX. At Missouri City Carrier Annex (Hwy 6 @ Glenn Lakes) (3701 Glenn Lakes, Missouri City, Texas 77459-9998 I suggest everyone contact our Representative, Pete Olson
EMAIL? https://forms.house.gov/olson/contact-form.shtml LETTERS? Congressman Pete Olson, 1650 Highway 6, Suite 150, Sugar Land, Texas 77477.
FRUSTRATED? For mal functioning traffic lights, unable to reach a shopping strip on highway 6 or you continue to see a violation of a deed restriction/city ordinance? Pick up a phone and report it.
IMPORTANT!!! Turn in a report ASAP. Which means the “first time” you see a violation or a non working traffic light or a traffic issue. Don’t wait for someone else to do it.
DROUGHT ISSUES? Water main lines cracking due to shifts caused by drought. Need more information? www.quailvalleyUD.org
WHEN IS THE RAIN RETURNING? The word from the weather department: The “high” is still in place which prevents the rain clouds from coming past it into Texas. They do not expect this to change until the Fall (September or October). (UNLESS we have a hurricane.)
QV ESPLANADE LANDSCAPING. Orange netting removed where irrigation installation completed. Enough shade at Hampton and El Dorado entrances to proceed with planting. Glenn Lakes has no shade cover so landscaping was “temporarily” postponed due to drought.
ELDORADO BRIDGE REPLACEMENT. Time frame is 3 to 6 months. Pedestrian and cart bridge will be erected for use doing bridge construction.
BIDS COMING IN. Bids are being reviewed for construction of the Tennis/Rec Center and Community Center/Pro Shop. Bids are higher than expected which may create changes to keep project on budget. Construction time may be increased to save dollars.
QV GOLF COURSE? In May, had revenues of $285,000 and expenses of $230,000. 6137 rounds of golf played.
