Quail Valley PROUD ( Neighborhood Association) extends our condolences to the family of Bev Carter.
Ms. Carter has been a long time supporter of PROUD.
PRAISE FOR QV FUND HOA: The Eldorado @ FM 1092 Monument signs once again have flowing Waterfalls!!! They have been missed, not only by QV residents, but people who live in other subdivisions. The FUND’s search for a company to address this “unique” construction flaw was frustrating for the FUND Trustees but they never gave up. Check the Monument signs out at night to see the lights highlighting the fall of the water. AWESOME !
IS QV PROUD RESPONSIBLE? PROUD does not place flags each 4th of July in front of QV homes.
CITIZEN’S CPR CLASS: Saturday, July 20th from 10am to 2pm. Fee is $10 per person. Sign up at Rec & Tennis Center in QV. For additional information: 281-403-8637.
4TH OF JULY IN MISSOURI CITY: Record attendance of approximately 6,000 people. Featured “Messy Station” for youngsters, mechanical bulls and spectacular fireworks show over the lake at Buffalo Run Park. Vendors sold turkey legs, hotdogs, and flavored ice.
EXTENDED HOURS: Rec & Tennis Center in QV now closes one hour later Monday through Thursday and opens one hour earlier on Saturday.
DO YOU HAVE A SMALL DOG? Grady Prestage (County Commissioner, who has spear headed this DOG PARK, took my phone call today for an update. The County is not finished with the dog park amenities. For example: there are plans to plant lots of shade trees on both sides of the Park BUT they need adequate irrigation before they plant the trees. The well only produces a “trickle” of water. Pressure is LOW. Bids should be in the end of July for installation of a water/sewer line for the WHOLE PARK.
Meanwhile there is a small pavilion (for shade) in the middle of the Park that spans the large and small dog areas.
