October 31, 2012 by FortBendStar

POWER WASHING THE CORNER SIGN:  FM 1092 @ Cartwright. The maintenance of this sign is the responsibility of the golf course.  The General Manager said he would check and get back to me.

MISSOURI CITY POLICE CAPTURE SUSPECT.  Around mid morning on a week day a “progress call” indicated a home burglary.  The male suspect used a baseball bat to force entry into the residence.  Once again, our Police Officers showed why they deserve our respect and support as they work to keep our community safe.

OPENING….COUNTY DOG PARK :  Location:  Kitty Hollow County Park across from entrance to Sienna Plantation.  Eleven acres with swimming ponds, agility equipment walking trails shaded areas and designated areas for large and small dogs.

OPENING DATE:  Scheduled for before the end of this year.

VOTING INFORMATION?  List of locations, hours and sample ballots (need to give your precinct number because not all ballots are the same).  www.co.fort-bend.tx.us/getsitepage.asp?sitepage=5665  OR call County Election Department at 281-341-8670 OR www.fortbendvotes.org

COMPLETION OF UNIVERSITY BLVD SOUTH?  This extension is a City of Sugar Land development project.  Construction is anticipated to be completed the first quarter of 2013 (end of February, weather permitting.)  This answer is courtesy of Keisha Seals (Project Manager of this construction project)

HURRICANE INFORMATION:  Fort Bend County is a “pass through county” and “does not” evacuate for hurricanes.  However heavy rains and flooding may make it necessary for you to leave the area.  Therefore, practice an “escape plan” to higher ground NOW, in “advance” of a storm.
